About Us

This survey applies to any Member of a Member Body affiliated with the ANKC Ltd and who has been an owner of a registered Border Collie for at least two [2] years.

ANKC Ltd is seeking the views of Border Collie owners if they wish to amend certain sections of the current ANKC Breed Standard for Border Collies dated 1994.

The current ANKC Border Collie Breed Standard does not represent the breed in its entirety when compared with the breed standard used globally, and limits genetic diversity which may have impact on health and welfare of the breed.  The proposed amendments acknowledge the naturally occurring genetic diversity of the breed, and brings Australia more in line with breed standards accepted and used worldwide.
